Arena
RAID System
The Extremely Friendly
RAID Solutions
Arena RAID solution, which is designed to simplify the storage management
process. The conventional Disk Arrays are designed for experienced IT specialist,
which takes time to setup through complicated operating procedures. Arena
came up with an innovative idea - Plug and Play RAID. Just attach
directly to your host server, Arena can be up and running after using the
simple step by step built-in setup program - no network downtime, no server
reconfiguration and no setup driver.
In regard to the long-term digital storage solution in the security industry,
Arena can be a great companion product for DVRs (Digital Video Recorders)
or any other PC-based digital video surveillance systems.
Performance
Arena RAID build-in 486, i960RD, i960RN or i80303 (64-bit)RISC CPU executes
RAID software code and supports data caching to achieve highest performance.
Easy Maintenance
The Arena RAID designs with "Hot-Swap" parts includes Hard
Disk Tray, Redundant power supply unit and cooling fan for customer to remove
and install the parts without interrupting data access while the RAID is
on.
Hot Spare
A hard disk drive can be configured as a hot standby disk. When a hard
disk drive error occurs on one of the RAID members, this on-line hot spare
disk drive will automatically replace the failed disk drive.
OS Independent
Whether it is for the networks of stand-alone Windows 95/98, NT, NOVELL,
UNIX or Mac based Servers as well as clustered server environments, Arena
RAID offers complete operating system independence and transparency.
Auto Rebuild
Arena RAID provides automatic data rebuild without any commands or functions
key-in when a replacement disk drive installed.
Capacity Expansion
Arena RAID comes with 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 Hard Disk trays which customer
can configure into 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5 RAID levels with capacity required and
expand it as your storage capacity needs grow by simply adding expansion
drive modules.
Total Cost of Ownership
Arena RAID ensures a low total cost of ownership by eliminating the
unnecessary hardware, operating system license and administration costs.
Meanwhile, the Arena SCSI to IDE series provide further cost down capability
by using IDE disk drives which are more cost efficient compare to traditional
RAID systems with SCSI disk drives.
